REMAINS DISCOVERED: Joseph McStay Family of Four, Fallbrook, CA, 02/03/10

The remains of the entire McStay family were located in the desert in November 2013. Charles “Chase” Merritt, 57, was arrested for the murders. His trial is scheduled to begin December 8, 2016. We are keeping the McStay family and friends in our prayers. We pray for Justice.

02/27/10 — Our team arrived last night, and we are beginning the aerial search and mapping this morning. Please keep the McStay family, along with our searchers, in your prayers.

02/24/10 — The family of Joseph McStay, husband and father of two, who is missing along with his family from Fallbrook, CA, has contacted Texas EquuSearch and requested assistance is finding the missing family of four. We have been in touch with San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, who has welcomed EquuSearch’s assistance. We are in the process of mapping and conducting reconnaissance, with the aid of one of our drone airplanes, owned and operated by RP Flight Systems. We anticipate the arrival of a team in California on Friday, February 26, 2010.

Joseph “Joey” Bryan McStay, 40; his wife, Summer McStay, 43; and their two young boys, Gianni and Joey Jr., were last seen on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at their home in Fallbrook, CA. Their white 1996 Isuzu Trooper SUV was found abandoned in San Ysidro, CA, two blocks from the Mexican border.
