LOCATED DECEASED: Stephen Bond, 32, Ocean Springs, MS, 05/17/09

04/16/10 — We are sad to report that the remains of Stephen Bond have been located. Please keep Stephen’s family and friends in your prayers during their time of grief.

05/17/2009 – Stephen Bond, age 32, and four friends took a small boat out Horn Island, which is about 12 miles offshore.  While on the island, a storm came in.  The group decided to leave the island and head back to shore during the storm.  Approx. two miles from the island, the group realized they could not make it and tried to get back to the island.  The boat capsized. Stephen did not have a life jacket.   The other four were able to put on life jackets and were rescued by the Coast Guard by early Monday afternoon.  Stephen has not been found.  Stephen is a police officer with the Ocean Springs Police Department and a former Marine.  Stephen has a Marine Corp tattoo on the left arm, a tribal armband on the right arm & a small 4 leaf clover on the right shoulder.  If you have any information, please contact Capt.
