Fundraiser: The Davenport Lounge Presents “Help Texas EquuSearch” on October 7, 2012 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

09/25/12 — It’s that time again! Davenport Psycho Sunday Six Strings To The Wind! This one is mighty special to us because it is our second annual benefit for the amazing folks at Texas EquuSearch — www.texasequusearch.org.  This crew of angels works tirelessly (and voluntarily) searching for lost/missing loved ones all over the world, and they started right here in our own backyard. Founded in 2000, and having organized over 1300 searches worldwide, they are funded entirely on donations, which they indeed need our help in order to continue their work. And The Davenport crew can tell you from past experience that the Texas EquuSearch volunteers know how to have a good time, and are without a doubt some of the finest individuals we have ever, ever worked with.

When we asked for musicians to donate their time, and the first to raise her hand was the immensely talented Myrna Sanders. Known for her jaw dropping performances in Kozmic Pearl, a tribute to Janis Joplin, Myrna has a brand spanking new solo record that she will be sharing with us along with a few Janis gems. Also joining us this afternoon will be Jacob Minter kicking some chewy, bluesy goodness our way. The afternoon wouldn’t be complete without some good food to eat and the food truck masters from Coreanos will be cooking for us. Music, auction items, giveaways, good food, an absolutely amazing cause, and some really awesome drinks! Sounds like a perfect afternoon to us! The Davenport will be donating a portion of the revenue from bar sales directly to Texas EquuSearch. Special thanks to Outlaw Dave, ExtremeSound Houston, Greg DJPaco Myrna Sanders, and Jacob Minter for supporting this and ALL of the events that we do that benefit organizations in our community. Come down and ring in the Fall with us. It’s gonna be a great afternoon!!!
