FOUND DECEASED: Almaz Gebremedhin – Wylie, Texas (10/2/14)

Long-time Texas EquuSearch members, and side-scan sonar experts Dennis and Tammy Watters have located a body inside of a submerged vehicle, inside a fenced-in pond in Wylie, Texas. The vehicle has been confirmed as belonging to Almaz Gebremedhin, but the body, which is believed to be that of 42 year-old Almaz Gebremedhin, must still be positively confirmed made by medical authorities.

Almaz Gebremedhin had disappeared while on her way to work on October 2nd 2014. Police and search dogs had already searched the pond without finding any sign of Almaz or her vehicle. After all others had already given-up looking in the pond; it was Dennis & Tammy Watters’ expertise, determination, skill & dedication for finding people that brought a final resolve to Almaz’ puzzling disappearance.

We ask that everyone please keep Almaz Gebremedhin’ family, friends and her close-knit community in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

Original Post: 42 year-old Almaz Gebremedhin was last seen in Wylie, Texas on October 2nd 2014. She was last seen wearing dark beige medical scrubs. Almaz’ vehicle is also missing, and it is described as a silver 2004 Chevrolet Venture van, with Texas license plates of CVZ-8041.
