The special Searcher Training class originally scheduled for March 19th 2016 had to be cancelled due to an “Amber Alert”. The Searcher Training class has now been re-scheduled for Saturday – May 7th 2016 at 9:00 a.m. You will be notified of the location for the training session at a later date.
This class will train our foot, ATV and horse searchers on updated search techniques, proven search methods, safety, policies and procedures, as well as hands-on search training.
This class is for all of our members, regardless of how long you have been a Texas EquuSearch member, or how many searches you have been on. This is a RSVP event, and you must register to participate in this event. New members of Texas EquuSearch must have had their applications received in our office by April 15th 2016 in order to be eligible to participate in the training.
This class is very important, and you need to attend – if you plan to search with our team in the future. We need to get an accurate number of attendees; so please register your attendance by going to firstname.lastname@example.org and emailing us your name, phone number, email address and whether you plan to search on foot, ATV or horse.
The deadline to register for the Searcher Training class is May 1st 2016. There is some thick brush and muddy areas at the training location, so dress appropriately for the terrain and weather conditions. Also bring you some type of chair or seating. This is an all-day event, and it will conclude about 4:00 p.m.
We hope to see all of you there, so that you are prepared, and even more successful at finding missing persons on future searches.
