REMAINS RECOVERED: Zuzu Renee Verk, 22 Yrs., Alpine, TX (10/12/16)

02/06/17 UPDATE: Remains thought to be those of Zuzu Renee Verk were located on Saturday, February 4, 2017. The remains have been sent to the University of North Texas Health Science for positive identification. Please keep Zuzu’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We pray that Zuzu gets justice for this senseless murder.

(10/19/16) — Our team is traveling to Alpine, TX today and tonight to assist the Texas Rangers and investigators in the search for Zuzu Renee Verk.  Please keep Zuzu’s family and our searchers in your thoughts and prayers.  See below:

(10/18/16) — We were contacted yesterday by the Texas Rangers to assist in the search for missing college student, Zuzu Renee Verk.  Early this morning, Tim Miller was prepared to fly to Alpine, Texas. Due to the fog in our area, there was a delay in his departure.  Pictured below is Tim Miller waiting for fog to lift so he can depart for Alpine to meet with the Texas Rangers and investigators. We want to extend a special thank you to Bo Hopmann for his time and airplane.

Zuzu Renee Verk, age 22, was last heard from in the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 12, 2016.  She is missing from Alpine, TX.  It is unknown what Zuzu was last wearing.  If you have any information, please call the Alpine Texas Police Department at (432) 837-3486 or Texas EquuSearch at (281) 309-9500.
