UPDATE: The un-identified body of a man recovered by Texas EquuSearch members on Saturday – January 11th 2014 has now been positively identified and confirmed as being that of 41 year-old Jesus “Jesse” Leal of Pasadena, Texas. We ask that everyone please keep Jesse’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this most devastating time in their lives.
On Saturday – January 11th 2014, Texas EquuSearch members Tim Miller, Frank Black and Ron Warren; while working hand- in-hand with investigators from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Division, the Harris County Sheriff’s Department Auto Theft Division, multiple Harris County Sheriff’s Department patrol deputies and the Pasadena Police Department recovered the buried remains of an unidentified male from a shallow grave in north Harris County, Texas. Though the remains are thought to be those of 41 year-old Jesus “Jesse” Leal of Pasadena, Texas; positive identification must still be confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences and law enforcement investigators.
We want to thank all the investigators for their steadfast confidence in the Texas EquuSearch team. We also want to thank them for their diligence, professionalism and dedication in solving this case. We also want to thank Nate Loyola of Ground Penetrating Radar Systems Inc., Brad Jones of Mainland Tool & Equipment Rental Co in Texas City, Texas and the Westfield Volunteer Fire Department for their special contributions and assistance in the recovery of the unidentified man. Original Post: 41 year-old Jesus “Jesse” Leal was last seen in Houston, Texas on December 31st 2013. Jesse’s red, 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Track bearing Texas license plates of 65FBY4 is also missing. Jesse was last known to be wearing a blue & white striped shirt, blue jeans, a black jacket with “Snap-On Racing” logo on the back and brown cowboy boots.
