02/16/09  It’s a quiet morning here at the command center, and the crowds are gone.  Law enforcement and Texas EquuSearch have announced that the massive search effort for Haleigh Cummings has been suspended.  We are currently loading up to head home for Texas.

We are leaving with tears in our eyes and pain in our heart, for we have not found Haleigh yet.  However, we are also leaving with many new friends and much hope…for we have met a lot of new people and seen the best that people have to offer.  This search effort has brought out the best in mankind.  When tragedy struck this small community of Satsumah, the residents responded.  Our members and volunteers have been treated with the utmost care and respect, and we are so very grateful.

All for the love of a child, strangers and neighbors alike have come together in a massive labor of love.  Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to each and every one of you who participated in every way in this effort.

Continue to keep Haleigh and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

I’m still thinking the police have missed that when ronald went to work that evening doing paveing and ex-cuvating, he could have dumped haleigh;s body, there needs to be another search where he worked, because it can’t be that much, because he quit soon as she went missing.

I was so sad to hear your search ended for this beautiful little girl with such an amazing smile. I’m hoping she will be found every day, safe and ok.

I wish you guys could go back, I know alot of people wish law enforcement were still searching for her. There’s so much to cover around where she lives. Is there a chance we might hear anything soon? There’s a powerful bunch of people hoping this little girl comes home soon.

I would like to leave my thanks to all the TES folks who give so much of themselves and ask so little in return. I would also like to personally thank all of the local LEO’s, firemen and women, emt’s etc…. that gave of their time and hearts to go out and search, please take some comfort in the fact that you did Satsuma proud and it was an honor to search with you. God Bless and I’ll be back there without hesitation if you need my help.

Brother Tim it was such a privilge to meet you and Donna, both of you are what our country needs, caring real people with big hearts. I’m so sorry we had to meet during the search for little Hayliegh. Remember what I whispered in your ear on Sunday, I will be there for your organazation no matter what the need is. God Bless and keep your CAN-DO attitudes. I did take your advice and joined TES before you all departed Satsuma, Fl. I will make you this promise Tim, and that is to be a humble servant. Keep praying for Hayleigh and all the lost ones.

Thank you Tim ,Mike,John,Brian,Lynn and everybody else that gave your time and hearts to find this little girl. Even though we haven’t yet found her we still have hope that she is alive and will be found . Texas EquuSearch has suspended their search for now but there is some people in the area that are still continueing with the search on our own. we covered alot of ground today we didnt find anything new but that just gives us more hope that she is still alive with each search that we come back empty handed. We will keep praying for her safe return and our search will continue till we feel like we have turned over each and every palm leaf and every wooded area has been checked.

I would like to thank TES for giving me the opportuntiy to participate in the search. Many of us want to do something, but don’t know what to do. TES gave us a way to help search and help support the family. I was searching on horseback Saturday and Sunday. I was proud to be there and to help. We had people from all different backgrounds pulling together for one cause – to find Haleigh. I was also glad they allowed Haleigh’s father to search with us on Sunday. I strongly believe that in times of stress, we need to keep busy. One of the ladies generously shared a horse so that he could search with us.

I also want to thank the Hampton Mounted Posse. They were the strength of the mounted search – especially on Sunday. They knew what they were doing and did a great job.

Thank you to all who participated and keep Haleigh in prayers.

    TES is wonderful.
Thanks to all for your search efforts for Haleigh.

It is being reported on that TES was asked to leave.
Sheriff Hardy was surprised in this afternoon’s press conference to hear that. He expressed his gratitude for all the TES has done to help in the search.

    Why did TES leave?

Prayers for Haleigh’s safe return and for all TES members in your travels back home.

Thank you again for your help!

You perform a valuable service to parents of missing children. Living in Orlando, I learned first hand of your work and caring. I thank you with all my heart for everything you do and may you continue serving our grateful nation for many years to come.

I just wanted to thank everyone at Equsearch. I am from Satsuma. I started my fire/rescue career at the Satsuma Fire dept. I came out on Sunday and searched and was made a team leader. My team as well as all the other teams did a fantastic job despite the terrain, rain , and media. Major props to Brian Fallon(sp?) he made mea team leader knowing this was my first SAR mission its been six years since i took tke SAR training that i do have and it defintely wasnt what i expected . I will be joining equsearch but with the exception of training i hope i am never utilized again…. but if it happens i will be there. THANKS BRIAN, TIM, MIKE, LYNN, and everybody else.

Thank you to all the TES members, near & far & to Tim for searching for this child. I am so sorry, all our heart’s are heavy that she has not been found. I pray this child is still with us, being cared for & whom ever has her will have a change of heart & let her go. That’s what I pray for, what we know to be the outcome in so many cases is way different. I hope her family takes some solece in the knowing you, me & so many people care. We would go anywhere, do anything to bring this child home to her family. God Bless all of you & God Bless Haleigh & her family.
Laurie………a very proud TES member in NC

I just wanted to say that I am greatful for the TES team and their support. I came from about 60 miles away from the Cummings home to help search for their beautiful little girl as I would hope that people would help me search if something were to ever happen. I was shocked at all the great team members associated with TES. You made a horrible situation seem like we were doing the best while my family and I help search for little Haliegh on Sunday. God bless TES and their crew and I hope God blesses this little girls family and gives them strength in their time of need.

I wanted to take this moment to thank Tim Miller & all those involved in his search for Haleigh Cummings. What a spectacular job he has done in previous cases. After all of the negativity that was put towards this wonderful group with a previous search, I am thrilled to see Tim Miller has not let him be discouraged in trying to help with another missing child case. Tim Miller & EquuSearch have shown time & time again they have hearts of gold & are angels here on earth. Thank you so much for all of you so! God Bless all who selflessly serve others.

  22. Donna Miller on February 16, 2009 at 9:09 AM

Another child has gone from our backyard here in Florida.

I am a TES member and I am grateful we have a way to search for these children in an organized thorough manner with people who have one goal, to find them.
People not looking for their faces on a camera but rather perferring to hide from them!

The community was so supportive and generous. They brought food and they hold bingo nites to donate the proceeds to TES. God Bless them all.

Know we will never stop looking. Every day on the river, we will look for Haliegh.

I watch every child I see when I’m driving until I can’t see them anymore for we all know the dangers in this world for them. If only everyone would do that….if only everyone would care enuff beyond themselves.

The brush was the thickest if Florida but even we disabled, elderly and young were driven to find her.

This is what America is, this is when we are what we can be and not what we are.

Thank you for your quick response to come here Tim.
Thank you for giving us an opportunity to become involved and be part of something far greater than ourselves.

May our little Angel be found so that she and her family may be given at least that peace.

It’s becoming an epidemic our missing children. Thank you for giving us all the opportunity to do what our hearts tell us we must, to search for these children.

May your travels to your next destination and task be safe and may you always come home to safe harbor.

    peace and blessings

I had never heard of TES until this event happened. I live within 60 miles of this area and felt I needed to help in some way and I went Fri and Sun to help search. I am very impressed with the dedication of the TES people and the upbeat attitude they keep while searching. I went into the search thinking we will find her and she will be ok…so I was a little disappointed that we didnt find her, but also happy we didnt find her…hard to explain that. But I left Sunday with a feeling of at least we searched everywhere we possible could and covered much terrain. I am hopefull since we didnt find her that she is with somone that is feeding her and hopefully will eventually be found. I had never been involved in a search and TES was very helpful in giving great direction. Hopefully I will never have to help search again but if needed I will be more that willing to help again.
